1.) It’s a wonderful time, summer time.

How about a surprise trip to a place we had been planning sine long.Beach, Book, Boat…Well, not a good idea considering arrival of our sweet little pie.

2.) Grill lover father: Hmmmm…I smell it.

3.) TV and the favorite programs:

Wow… the world cup is here. How about his dream TV mounted on a wall when he comes home this evening :) That will be fantastic..

4.) nook: The World’s Most Advanced eBook Reader or Amazon Kindle

Well, he is not that much studious however he will certainly love it. HOnestly speaking he will not use it often though :(

5.) Pocket-Sized Digital Picture Viewers

He has digital frame in office. However a digital picture viewer will certainly be welcome… a nice timepass during his commuter journey to office.. And I bet you, he can view it 24X7, 365 days.

6.)”Love You Dad!” Coffee MugsFather’s Day Personalized Photo Mugs:

I have one such of these.. and I get this every year :) It is his turn this year

7)Relaxing & Supportive Bed Rests

Great!!! Why I didn’t think of this earlier? This is certainly something he will love.

8) BlackBerry, iPod, Mac book:

These are his things to buy list of items. A Mac book will be a definite wishful item as long as I get his configuration. This will need some talking though… and to tell you, he is quite smart to figure that out… Hence adding officially to this post ;) Love you honey…

9) “Happy Father’s Day” Cookie Bouquets

10) Custom Photo Mosaic PicturesAdjustable Grill Lights

This will be  on our agenda… so no  need to put as a gift for him. However sharing since this was a nice idea.

Heyyy… so these are my ideas as father’s day gift. What are yours?

Would certainly love to read what you have :)

Happy father’s day…

Burping A Newborn

As our dictionary of baby care is growing, I heard about burping a newborn after feeding.

Here are my questions:

What is burping?

How to burp my baby? Correct way of burping?

Importance of burping?

Here are my findings, in my simple language:

Burping means patting baby after feeding.

It is a very beautiful and satisfying experience to feed our baby…. Isn’t it moms?

And it is equally enjoyable to hear baby sound when she is being fed. Believe me I have recorded my baby’s sound as I was feeding him. Coming back to point, as you must have observed that baby takes his own sweet time while eating. And it is very tiresome also for him. More than that, while eating he swallows some air along with milk. This sometimes leads to crankiness, spitting. My little pie makes such cute face when he eats too much of milk along with air.

Of course, then, I need to burp him… otherwise he spits, cries and I need to clean up.

So how do I burp?

2 ways:

I sit relaxed on our sofa or on bed. Get one soft towel on my shoulder then lift my angel carefully supporting his neck. And then he is resting easily against my chest. I then gently pat him. Singing, whispering into his tiny ears is also a happy exercise.

Sometimes I just put him on my lap, supporting his neck and body with one of my hands and other hand does the burping.

To be honest there are so many ways I am disovering day by day. Just one golden rule… hold the baby straight and gently pat him.

Sometimes I burp him during feeding sessions also. If he looks fussy, spits more, I stop feeding, burps him and then continue.

Second way, I simply handover my sweety to my mom or hubby :) , if I am too tired to burp him. Well, that’s their possession now. They can do anything with him as long as they burp :) My hubby sometimes lie on his back and my baby lies on his chest. Of course, hubby is always careful and particular to lie little inclined.

Earlier he was hesitant to hold the baby on the chest. Worried if baby would be able to breath properly or not, whether he will slide down or not etc. However now we are getting pro… :)

Hey I have heard that there are baby burpers (Bazzle baby burpers set) available too. Not sure exactly what are those. However from the description looks like those are sac kind of cloths and one would put baby in it and baby can easily rest on the chest. Not sure though…

Well, that’s my knowledge about burping.  Now I must go and attend my dolly…

Happy burping…
